Weekly gasoline demand struggles as winter weather hits US
According to GasBuddy data, weekly total US gasoline demand fell 3.7% from the prior week and was 2.0% below the four week rolling average. Broken down by day, the first three days of the week saw robust demand, with Sunday up 5.2% from its four week average, while Monday was up 12.9% and Tuesday up 18.9%. Demand then plummeted, with Wednesday down 1.9% from its four week average, Thursday was down 22.1%, Friday down 18.2%. Saturday closed the week, falling 3.6% from the four week average.
