Weekly US Gasoline Demand Update
Gasoline demand jumps as winter storms ease
According to GasBuddy data, weekly total US gasoline demand rose 6.4% from the prior week and was 1.8% above the four week rolling average. Broken down by day, the first three days of the week saw demand level off after spiking the prior week. Sunday was down 0.4% from the prior, while Monday was down 10.0% and Tuesday down 15.2%. Demand then bounced back for the second half of the week with Wednesday up 4.9% from the prior Wednesday, Thursday jumped 34.3% from the prior Thursday with Friday up 30.1% from the prior Friday and Saturday down 10.1%.
